Devereux, based in Villanova, PA, is the nation's largest nonprofit behavioral health-care provider for individuals with development / intellectual disabilities, behavioral disorders and mental illness. The Foundation operates eight facilities throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania that serve as residential, education and social services center for their clients.
Since 1992, Nave Newell has served as Devereux’s land development consultant for campus improvements, additions and redevelopments throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. Nave Newell has been instrumental in planning and designing site improvements and infrastructure upgrades, including utilities, to enable Devereux to efficiently incorporate their programmed improvements in phases over the course of the duration of their various campus Master Plans.

Landscape Architecture
Melmark is a comprehensive multi-service provider of residential, educational, therapeutic and recreational services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Nave Newell developed a Comprehensive Master Plan to visualize Melmark’s short and long term campus improvements, ensuring proper sequencing and cost optimization, while allowing programming flexibility due to fundraising. Most recently, Nave Newell has been providing civil site services to Melmark in for the expansion and redevelopment of their 35-room, neoclassical-style mansion built in by prominent architect Frank Miles Day in 1916.
Nave Newell was initially selected by Melmark in the summer of 2007 to address their site improvements associated with residential expansions, gym and main building expansions, vehicular and pedestrian accessibility and circulation, emergency access, parking expansions, and new campus-wide sewer improvements, including pump station and tie-in to public sewer. Services included land surveying, site grading, drainage, stormwater management, infiltration design, utilities, landscape, lighting and E&S controls for the proposed improvements, as well as expert testimony before the municipalities and associated permitting and approvals.
